Adoration

Adoration was originally composed for organ by African-American composer Florence B. Price in 1951. With its slow, expressive melodies, this piece is a great opportunity for younger orchestras to work on bow distribution and vibrato. All parts except for a small section for the basses are playable in first position, making it an excellent transition piece for shifting exercises. Arranger Steve Olson has ensured that this arrangement captures the beauty and richness of the original composition.
